Welcome to The Village

A living, breathing community co-created by families — held in nature, trust, and care.

A new way of coming together

The Village isn’t something you sign up for. It’s something you belong to.

This is a gathering of like-hearted families walking alongside one another — supporting, growing, learning, and remembering together. Held outdoors, in all weather, within a rhythm that honours the seasons of the earth and the seasons of our lives.

We are not recreating old systems.
We are reimagining what it means to be in community
from the ground up.

What is The Village?

A community

co-created by families

The Village is a co-created, in-person community of families meeting weekly through 6-week seasonal cycles. Each cycle weaves together connection, nature-based play and learning, mentoring, storytelling, and authentic relationship.

It’s a space for children to be wild and free — and for adults to be nourished, supported, and seen. It’s a community where:

  • You don’t have to carry it all alone.

  • Children are known and loved by many.

  • Adults are invited into meaningful connection and shared responsibility.

  • Contribution is welcomed in ways that feel true to you.

A different kind of exchange

We are not trying to fit Village life into an extractive model.
Instead, we’re practising a regenerative, circular economy of care — where each person brings what they can, and receives what they need. Families contribute in two ways:

A financial contribution

This contribution helps sustain the quiet workings of The Village. It supports the essential behind-the-scenes tasks — ensuring each gathering runs smoothly, safely, and with care. This includes:

  • Admin and coordination

  • Insurance and registrations

  • Land maintenance and care

  • Infrastructure to support The Village

  • Ongoing planning and communication

An energy exchange

Your time, presence, care, and unique gifts are part of what makes this community thrive. You might contribute to The Village by:

  • Arriving early to help set up or tend the fire

  • Bringing nourishing food to share

  • Offering your skills, story, or steady presence

  • Supporting children’s activities

  • Stepping into mentoring or leadership roles

  • Helping with practical jobs like chopping wood or maintenance

Whatever your contribution, it is welcomed with deep gratitude.
And it’s understood that your capacity may change with the seasons.
This is part of the rhythm of Village life.

If your family is facing challenges with affordability, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

The Village is built on care and community, and there’s a place here for you—regardless of your circumstances.

Rooted in trust and belonging

This model is built on trust.
If this space brings value to your family, your contribution helps ensure it remains accessible — for your family, and for others who may not otherwise have access to this kind of support.

What matters most is that your contribution feels honest and right for you.
Free from guilt. Free from pressure. Fully aligned with your values.

We acknowledge the Dharawal, Jerrinja, Wandi Wandian, Budawang and Murramarang people of Yuin Country, the original custodians of the lands on which we live, learn and play. We acknowledge the ancestors, the current elders and the elders of the future. We express our deep gratitude for your ancient and ongoing kinship with this land, your stories and your wisdom.

We extend this acknowledgement to all indigenous peoples of this continent, the world and our own ancestral lineages. Each have valuable wisdom and teachings that guide us back to Mother Earth, to remembering our connection and kinship with all beings, human and non-human.
